The proper shade for a specific plant can vary considerably between regions. We recommend that you contact your County Extension Agent to determine which shade density is best for your needs. See the photos below for examples of shade factors available.
For retail garden areas, we recommend 78% lath.
For patios, decks and other recreational areas, we recommend 78% - 80%.
For pool covers, we recommend 80% to 92%.
A lath weave design is available for extremely windy or rainy areas
which also require high shade. The lath design prevents water
accumulation in heavy rainfall and reduces the strain of high winds.
Reinforced binding is available. This binding prevents the edges from
unraveling, dramatically increasing the life of your panel.
We can also install rustproof #2 brass grommets to your
specifications. The grommets have a 5/16” hole and are the best way to
hang your shade panel, since other methods (like nails or staples)
damage the fabric.
8” ball bungies are also available for quick and simple installation.
